RGB Group believe that our successes have been driven by our team of dedicated staff. Our core management team have significant experience in the construction industry between them and remain integral to the day to day running of the business.

Jeff Britnell

Group Director

Now Group Director, Jeff has led from the outset and prides himself on providing the energy, structure and strategic direction to the various RGB businesses.

With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, he maintains a daily involvement. As a contractor and developer throughout the UK and Europe in his career, Jeff has grown the RGB business over the last eighteen years and spearheaded our growth into both the contracting and development sphere.

Neil Russell

Managing Director

Neil has recently assumed the role of Managing Director, five years since joining our board. He’s worked to advance our business commercially and to build a structure to allow us to deliver and operate through our growth and continuity on our new platform. Neil has an enviable CV with major developments completed across the World in recent years including London, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai, Singapore, Thailand and Monaco.

Richard Buffery

Delivery Director

Richard is one of the founding members of the RGB Group and has been an integral part of the company’s development across the last two decades.

As our Main Contracting arm has grown, Richard has taken up the responsibility for leading the charge on delivery on our Main Contracts side. A “home run” when it comes to project delivery. His ability to drive our projects to complete on time and at quality set him apart from the rest.

Paula Talbot

Financial Director

As Financial Director, Paula is the main contact for all financial matters and runs our head office in Shrewsbury.

Her background is in accountancy and drives all financial control and office functions. She has been with the company for over eighteen years controlling the day to day cash flow of both direct labour and sub-contractor payments.

Paula crucially links the office to site and makes things run smoothly.

Neil Rigby

Plastering Director

Neil has been with the company since its inception and is responsible for all commercial and procurement matters for our plastering business and it’s integral link to our main contracting successes.

From budgeting through to contractor procurement, his unique relationship with our key supply chains and personnel coupled with the management of the in-house labour make his role on projects inextricably linked to its success.

Ian Thomas

Operations Director

Since joining RGB in 2008, Ian has been an integral part of many of the major schemes that we have delivered in recent years, including the Tune Hotels in London, Hotels in Liverpool and our flagship Trafford House and WBC4 Projects.

Ian drives our Considerate Contractor Scheme best practice and other crucial operational schemes.

Richie Newsham

Construction Director

Richie became a member of the senior management team in 2014. He comes to the team with a vast experience of residential construction having spent forty years in the industry, most recently with Persimmon.

Richie supports the team in an oversight role inning his advanced technical skills to aid the more complex packages on site as well as some of our more challenging projects.

Dave Britnell

Senior Contracts Manager

Another 20 year RGB stalwart, Dave has tackled some of RGB’s most challenging projects in the London area. These have included Victory House and the East End Hotel Bethnal Green.

Our in-house 'Basement Expert' has also completed all of our high end residential projects in London.

Matthew Chambers

Commercial Manager

Matthew joined the RGP Group to oversee the commercial function of the Post-Construction team. Matt provides support to all levels of the business from construction sites to the boardroom as well as being a key link between workforce and client.

Predominantly from a Utilities background, Matthew joined from the Kier Utilities division where he headed up the regional delivery for Blue Chip clients and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in implementing processes and change management into growing businesses.

Matthew holds a principle role in ensuring all our schemes are delivered in both time and budget and maintains a key role in maintaining our client relationships.

Paul Breen

Head of Commercial

Paul’s main role within the RGB Group is to oversee the commercial function of the pre-contract phase, whilst also having an input into construction phases. He also provides the pivotal commercial link between our clients and the senior RGB management team.

Paul has extensive experience of residential and traditional construction projects, joining RGB from Bovis Homes where he headed up a regional commercial team which delivered over 850 completions in the year, with the group achieving record margins.

Mark Allman

Head of Design

Mark joined the business to lead and oversee the design function and to integrate the Commercial & Delivery teams from pre-construction to handover. Mark is also a senior member of the RGB management team.

Customer and delivery focused, Mark has significant experience across all forms of construction methodology and procumbent routes ranging from development-led opportunities, PFI, PPP, NEC, JCT and traditional forms of contract.

Rae Evans

In House Counsel

Rae is responsible for our legal and corporate governance across all of the Group businesses.

Rae takes in our non contentious and contentious issues as well as our property development matters.

Alan Britnell

Senior Planner

Alan is our expert in-house planner and has led our company development in this field. He also controls our in-house reporting and tracking; a vital company function.

Alan has gained vast experience as part of the RGB Group, spending time in each division as well as our procurement and QS team which has led to his stewardship of the planning and programming.

Chris Metcalfe

Director of Quality, Safety, Health & Environment

Chris is an accredited professional with over twenty years of Health, Safety and Environmental experience gained across a wide spectrum of clients and business sectors. He has responsibility for providing RGB’s strategic and dynamic leadership for HSE related matters on all sites.

Chris works proactively with all directors, managers and clients to establish and maintain a programme of continual improvement and to provide clear leadership for development of a safe environment for all our people.
